Hi all! Below is the remaining schedule for the Grade 4/5 soccer season (updated with the practices) – mark your calendars and look forward to seeing you supporting the games!

Wednesday, November 18 – Grade 4 (@GWA) versus Wellington International school

Sunday, November 22 – Grade 4 and 5 at (@JAPS). Depart school at 2:50pm.

Wednesday, November 25 – Grade 4/5 Soccer practice

Thursday, December 10 – Grade 5 (@DESS). Invitational Soccer Tournament from 1:00-5:00pm. Depart school at 12:15ish.

Sunday, December 6 – Grade 4/5 Soccer practice

Sunday, December 13 – Grade 4 Season Final Soccer Tournament (@RASHID school). Depart at 2:15.

Wednesday, December 16 – Grade 5 Season Final Soccer Tournament (@RASHID school). Depart at 2:15.

Emirates Airline Story Writing Competition

Silvio Patricio is the second grade 4S student to enter the Emirates Airline Story Writing Competition. Below is his adventure story.

The time machine Once up olden time there lived two young boys called Jack and Adrian. They like to play every day, making Lego toys. But one day Adrian said, “I am tired of doing Lego inventions over and over again.” “We can play other games if you want,” said Jack. “NO! I want to make something new.” “Like what?” “A time machine!” They start building it; they are ready in a day! They want to see something a human never saw before, a DINOSAUR! They went back in time and they saw a big dinosaur, which was coming their way really fast. They travelled in time when their parents were born. They start laughing and everyone started looking at them. They time travel every year they have been on the earth. They went back to cave mans age and when they click to go back home, there was no electricity. They were stuck for thousands or millions of years, but when they said they were doom. Their parents came with another time machine, and their parents told them to come with them. Adrian said, “I am never making another machine which can change our lives.” But they were just thinking about showing their new invention when the machine made some strange noise. They went back to the dinosaur age. They took a baby dinosaur to the real time and called it Bingo. They taught the baby dinosaur how to fly by telling how the birds fly with a video they made about the baby bird. But suddenly the little dinosaur mother came and catch us. We were the prey for now, but the baby dinosaur started flying. It was amazing. The baby bird said to the mother to stop because we taught the baby bird how to fly. We were saved! The mother put us on the floor, and licked our faces with a big smile.

Congratulations to Grade 4 Football Team!!!

On 18 November the Grade 4 Football Team won their first Football Game 5-1 against GEMS Wellington. They won their second game 4-0 also against GEMS Wellington. Congratulations to Hammam, Sudhachit, and Silvio!!!

Music Concert and Rehearsal

The GWA Elementary Music Concert will be held on Monday 23 November at 7pm here at the school in the auditorium. Students must bring their violins and cellos to school on Monday 23 November for rehearsal.
