Grade 4 has started their new Unit of Inquiry on Business. The central idea of the unit is “Businesses are organizations that provide goods, services and employment.” On Tuesday 9 February Alister Aranha, Business Consultant and Deputy General Manager of the Reliant Group of Companies in Dubai, was the first guest speaker. Mr. Aranha shared information about his work in the construction industry and work developing a new building in Jebel Ali Free Zone. The grade 4 students asked lots of questions about his project work and his previous work.

Dear Parent(s),
Unfortunately, we have encountered a technical formatting issue with the grade four reports. As a result, we are unable to send home the quality document that you deserve and are accustomed to receiving from GEMS World Academy-Dubai. The learner reports that we send home are perhaps the single most important document we produce, and we’re sure you can appreciate why we would choose to delay reporting over sending home an inferior quality product.
Please accept our humble apologies for the delay and inconvenience. We are working on the problem, and will send the reports home on Sunday afternoon.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
Warmest regards,
Tim Stefanishyn
ES Assistant Principal
